The cyclist feels vulnerable knowing one mistake and he or she could end up in hospital or worse. Driving and cycling are stressful. A trivial incident can trigger a surge of road rage. Most cyclists are car drivers and learn the highway code, so they do understand the point of view of the driver. However, the reverse is not true. Guidance for drivers about cycling is missing.
